Building Up, Peeling Back

This has been a busy week for me. In addition to a two-day trip to Spokane, I’ve hit crunch time on my upcoming Sceadwian installation. There is definitely a sense of pressure and urgency in the studio right now, but this part is also a lot of fun — the intense buzz of creative energy and production, and of course the excitement of seeing my ideas take on physical form at last. 100 Drawings Revisited

Last summer I posted about my plan to create 100 drawings over the course of 96 hours, to be completed during a train ride from Indianapolis, IN, to Leavenworth, WA, and back. I’m currently in the process of selecting a handful of those quick landscape sketches to be exhibited in the upcoming faculty exhibit at Asbury, and it seemed appropriate to follow up on that old post.
